FC Flora wants to help integrate Ukrainian war refugees to Estonian society and grants them free football trainings in the club and helps to gather football equipment for the trainings.

Football is loved around the world and for the many it is sport or a lifestyle where you can dream big. After the Russian invasion many kid’s dreams were destroyed by the war which destroyed the infrastructure. Flora tries to help to rebuild that dream for the kids fleeing the war, as it grants free trainings and equipment, if possible, for the war refugee children.

FC Flora’s CEO Reili Järvalt: “Few Ukrainian kids have already joined FC Flora’s football trainings and we are glad. Every training is free for the Ukrainian children and club does it best to gather equipment for them as well. Club asked it’s members to gather unused boots, balls and other equipment which can be given to the children in need. With this we can change newcomers trainings more comfortable and enjoyable.

“Flora have also offered discounts or payment plans to the other people in Estonia who have difficulties to pay the training fee. As we try to help refugee children to find football equipment we have also done that to our own people. Last year we started free trainings for the children and the elderly people in the city parks which was cooperated with Kristiine’s district government. Both projects will be continued this year,” said Järvalt.
